Help & safety
How to plan with confidence — and what to do if something feels wrong.
How do I pay a wedding vendor safely?
- Only pay deposits to the mobile money or bank details shown on the vendor’s profile here. If someone in chat gives you a different number, stop and report it.
- Agree everything in writing: date, venue, what’s included, deposit, balance date, cancellation terms.
- Pay in stages. A 30–50% deposit is normal; paying in full months ahead is not.
- Ask for a receipt for every payment.
What does "Identity checked" mean?
The vendor’s identity was verified through an NIA-approved provider, and our team confirmed their social profiles, business contact and portfolio rights. It is not a guarantee of quality or delivery — it means the person is who they say they are. More on how verification works.
How do I report a vendor, post or comment?
Use “Report” on any vendor profile, post or comment. Tell us dates, amounts and copy any messages. We review every report; substantiated scams lead to removal and records are kept so the same person cannot re-register.
How long does a vendor application take?
Identity verification goes live alongside our data-protection registration in Ghana. Until that is complete we are not approving new vendor profiles — applications are queued in the order they arrive, and you keep your place. You can apply now and prepare your portfolio while you wait.
- Upload only your own work. Every item is reviewed before it goes live.
- Never share your ID documents through the app or chat — we will never ask for them.
Does Wedding in Ghana handle my payments?
No. We are not a party to any agreement you make with a vendor, and we never hold your money — you pay vendors directly on the terms the two of you agree.
