Terms of Use

1. Who we are

Wedding in Ghana ("we", "us") operates weddinginghana.com and the Wedding in Ghana mobile application (together, the "Service"). The Service helps couples discover wedding vendors in Ghana, save inspiration, plan their wedding and communicate with vendors. We are a marketplace and planning tool. We are not a party to any agreement between a couple and a vendor.

2. Accounts

You must be 18 or older. Keep your password private and tell us about any unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity on your account. Some features require a verified email address.

3. What "Identity checked" means — and does not mean

A vendor shows the Identity checked badge only after (a) their identity has been verified through a provider approved by Ghana's National Identification Authority, and (b) our team has independently confirmed that the vendor controls the social profiles they listed, that their business contact details work, and that their portfolio appears to be their own work.

The badge does not guarantee the quality, delivery, pricing, punctuality, solvency or conduct of any vendor, and it is not an endorsement or a recommendation. Starting prices shown are supplied by vendors and are not quotes. You are responsible for agreeing terms, deposits and contracts directly with a vendor. We strongly recommend written agreements and paying deposits only to the contact details shown on a vendor's profile on the Service.

4. Vendors

Vendors must be legitimate businesses serving Ghanaian weddings, must only upload content they own or have the right to use, and must keep their information accurate. Portfolio uploads are reviewed before publication and may be declined without giving reasons. Media allowances are introductory limits and may change. Vendor listings may be suspended or removed for misrepresentation, reported scams, stolen imagery, abusive behaviour, or breach of the Vendor Terms.

5. Content and conduct

You keep ownership of what you post. You grant us a licence to display it on the Service. Do not post content that is unlawful, infringing, harassing, sexually explicit, or that includes other people's identity documents or private information. We may remove content and restrict accounts. Comments are community content and are not pre-moderated; use the report tools to tell us about a problem.

6. Messaging and safety

Messages between couples and vendors are private to the participants and are processed by our systems to provide the feature and to detect abuse. We are not responsible for the content of messages. Never share your full ID number, bank details or one-time codes in chat.

7. AI planning assistant

The assistant generates suggestions using an artificial-intelligence model and information from approved vendor profiles. Answers can be wrong or incomplete, are not professional, legal or financial advice, and are not quotes. Your questions are sent to a third-party AI provider to generate an answer and are subject to daily limits.

8. Fees

Browsing and basic vendor listing are free at launch. Optional paid features for vendors (such as verification, featured placement and subscriptions) will be described at the point of purchase, with prices in Ghana cedis inclusive of applicable taxes.

9. Reports, suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms, and we may keep limited records of closed accounts to prevent repeat abuse (see the Privacy Policy). You may delete your account at any time from Account & privacy.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of Ghana, we exclude all warranties and are not liable for losses arising from your dealings with any vendor or user, or from reliance on any content, including AI-generated content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the Service, and continued use after the change means you accept the updated Terms.
